Visiting Dallas for only 3 days and came here for the first time on the first night. Well we are going back again tonight. That should say it all. Perfection. The Lotus root salad with shrimp was sooo yummy that i now must learn how to make this. Have eaten this dish in different cities but you win! Also winner winner the chicken katsu dinner was some of the best we have ever eaten. So tender n juicy inside with a beautiful crunch served in a curry sauce with a little kick of heat. We spoke with the owner and he told us how this was the first dish he learned how to make in Hawaii. I have eaten this dish in Hawaii and Japan so im telling you this guy can cook!! Excited to go back.

FAMILY OWNED, food is delicious! Service is fantastic, the restaurant is so cozy and comfortable. Got the Banh Chanh Cua, took me back when I was in Saigon. No fake crab in that soup. All real crab! The quail egg was incredible, it burst in my mouth. Had to get the flan as well, the dessert was served like I was eating in Saigon. It has shaved iced with coffee dripped on topped! Unbelievable food and quality here. Long story, short COME AND ENJOY THIS HIDDEN MOM AND PA RESTAURANT!

This place is so good if you love Vietnamese and Cantonese-style food. It’s a family-run spot with super cozy, casual vibes — you really feel like you’re getting a home-cooked meal. ❤️ I loved the papaya salad and the water spinach dish. The water spinach was cooked just right — flavorful, well-seasoned, and had a nice little spicy kick. 🌶️ The papaya salad was super fresh, and the shrimp was really tender. I’m definitely coming back to try more dishes — especially the homemade yogurt next time! 😋

This is my second time at Map Kitchen and I really love both the food and the service, so I had to write this review. This time I came with my friend, and we ordered the boneless chicken leg with Thai sauce as our appetizer. The chicken was tender but still perfectly crispy, and the sauce was sweet and well balanced. The waitress even told us they had just gotten this dish back today, which made sense because it was amazing. And the chicken leg was really big too. For our entrées, we ordered chicken fried rice with garlic fish sauce, braised pork with chitterlings, and Vietnamese white yam soup with pork and shrimp. The chicken fried rice is a must try. It reminded me of the childhood flavor I have always been looking for. The chicken was sweet and savory, and even though it was fried, it still stayed juicy. The braised pork and the white yam soup both reminded me of home and family meals. Everything tasted warm, comforting, and authentic. Overall, I think Map Kitchen is a perfect place to gather with friends or family if you want to enjoy a truly authentic Vietnamese dinner. I will definitely be coming back.

This time I will do something different. What you're seeing is a bow of "Bún Bò Huế". Since I had been in US, this is the 2nd time I I had finished everything in the bow, it's delicious. They had it totally original perfect of Vietnamese way. Unlike many other of restaurants I tried before, usually used lot of spices to cover the smell of beef bone in the roast. This restaurant makes the "Bún Bò Huế" in traditional way, but not heavy smells of beef bone at all. Should try them out if you stop by Plano, Dallas, TX.

The good was good and clean space. Service was friendly. Bánh canh cua which is the best seller is just 3/5 in our opinion. Bun Bo hue was 4/5, hu tiêu mi kho was 5/5. Quails 5/5, tofu 4/5

Clean restaurant, amazing food, and even better service. The staff is so accommodating—our server literally gave us a taste test of a sauce to make sure it suited our taste. 10/10 hospitality! We ordered banh canh cua, crab ragoons, and mi xao gion. Love supporting small businesses, especially Vietnamese ones, since there aren’t many out here in Carrollton.
